Have you ever wondered who created the telephone? Well, Alexander Graham Bell did. Alexander had a inventive childhood, he made life changing inventions and had some heartbreaking obstacles. Have you ever wondered how interesting his childhood was?

Alexander showed his intelligence even as a child. Alexander was born in 1847, on March 3rd, in Scotland. Alexander liked to take apart old radios and put them back together to make new things. His favorite subjects in school were music and science. His mom was impressed with his talent so she taught him to play the piano even when she was deaf. Alexander’s creativity as a child helped him with his inventions.

Alexanders inventions were life changing. Bell wanted to send shound through wire. If it worked Alex thought of calling it the telephone. In 1869, Bell got a partner Thomas Watson to help him with his idea. In the mid 1870s, they began working on the telephone. On 1876, Bell and Watson demonstrated the first telephone to the public. In 1877 Bell made a telephone company. Bell had a dream to become a teacher so he did and even founded a organization in 1890, at Washington DC to teach deaf people to speak. Alexander’s inventions were very successful but there were some roadblocks too.

Alexander had some obstacles to deal with too. Alexander and his wife Mable had a baby Edward. The baby was born to early and died of a breathing issue which left them both heartbroken. It got worse because they did not have any other children. It was hard for him to focus because he was so unhappy, but he overcame it all.
